Mr. Garcia’s experience prior to VR includes consulting for Fortune 1000 companies and 15 years of corporate experience in some of the world's finest organizations in marketing, strategic planning and M&A roles.
During his marketing career, Omar led the successful turnaround of multiple packaged goods brands in the United States. While in strategic planning roles, he worked in different projects in conjunction with management consultants such as the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Booz Allen Hamilton and McKinsey. Through multiple M&A projects he worked side-by-side with world class investment bankers such as JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and S.G. Warburg.
Omar earned a Finance MBA and Mechanical Engineering degrees from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Monterrey, Mexico. He has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and was recognized by Brandweek as “A NEXT GENERATION MARKETER”, which highlighted him as to one of the top 10 marketers in the U.S. under 40 years of age.
